Associate Producer

Summary

Join NBCUniversal as an Associate Producer and oversee graphics, supers, banners, and full screens for a daily show. Collaborate with line producers, share daily rundowns, and brainstorm engaging content. You will review shows for errors, liaise with the graphics department, and understand Chyron and Viz operations. This fully remote position requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications or equivalent experience, TV production experience, and proficiency in specific software. Bilingualism in Spanish and English is mandatory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Experience working in TV production, cable TV and post production
• Deep understanding of Inews, LUCI and other operational software
• Ability to prioritize work and multitask over a wide range of responsibilities, often under tight and changing deadlines
• Exceptional communication, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain discretion and manage confidential information
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Create supers, banners, and full screens for the daily show and call them on air
• Collaborate with producers to fulfill graphic needs for segments
• Review shows to eliminate spelling and grammar mistakes on air
• Act as a liaison with the graphics department to troubleshoot as needed
• Understand Chyron and Viz operations to work with assigned operators
• Work closely with Line Producers to discuss ideas for the rundown and visual needs of the show
• Work on the promotional elements of the show, including headlines and promos
• Assist line producer in backtiming the shows when needed
• Attend production meetings to brainstorm ideas and ways to visually enhance content
• Communicate with technical operations when needed to complete the vision of the show
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of several genres such as game shows, drama, comedy, etc
• Up to date with the entertainment industry trends for the U.S. hispanic market
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate while under pressure
• Punctual and attentive to details
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate and lead others
• Ability to manage administrative duties, budgets and maintain corporate obligations
