Associate Quality Engineer

Summary

Join Acquia's AgilOne team as an Associate Quality Engineer and contribute to the quality of code releases for a customer data and engagement hub. You will design, implement, and execute test cases, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and develop scripts and utilities for the QA team. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 1-3 years of database testing experience, strong SQL skills, and experience with Agile development, RESTful APIs, and UI/API automation. Preferred qualifications include Big Data testing experience and AI experience. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• 1-3 years experience in Database testing
• Experience with Agile development process (eg Scrum)
• Must have strong SQL skills
• Experiences with Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (eg HBase, MongoDB)
• Experience designing tests in a continuous integration/deployment environment
• Experience with RESTful API testing
• Strong UI / API automation experience is required
• Effective communication skills

Responsibilities

• Contribute towards the quality of every code release into production
• Design, implement, document and execute test cases
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to come up with test strategy
• Develop scripts and utilities for use by the QA team
• Ensure we deliver quality products, take and receive criticism, have fun and care about your results, your growth, and team's

Preferred Qualifications

• Great to have Big Data testing (e.g. pipelines and/or ETL processes) including expertise in but not limited to Hive, Yarn, MapReduce, Kafka, Spark, Oozie
• Cloudera Hadoop (CDH) and Impala experience is a big plus
• HiveQL experience is a big plus
• Good to have AI experience in testing and usage of tools like Github Copilot
