Summary

Join LGC Axolabs as an Associate Scientist in Analytical Development and support analytical method development, optimization, and validation for oligonucleotide drug substances. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate characterization and in-process testing of oligonucleotide API and raw materials in compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline
  • 0-2 years of applicable experience
  • Technical understanding of the oligonucleotide manufacturing process
  • Oligonucleotide analytics including hands on experience with relevant analytical techniques equipment and methods
  • Working knowledge of chromatography software including Empower, MassLynx, Chromeleon, and/or Waters Connect

Responsibilities

  • Support analytical method development, optimization, and validation for oligonucleotide drug substances
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate characterization and in-process testing of oligonucleotide API and raw materials in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Prepare solutions and samples to support analytical procedures
  • Set up instruments, monitor runs, and process analytical data
  • Basic data interpretation and troubleshooting of process or instrumentation issues
  • Work with senior scientists to generate experimental designs to develop analytical methods
  • Provide technical support for routine analysis and laboratory investigation
  • Maintain laboratory notebooks and technical documentation according to GMP/GLP guidelines
  • Author SOPs and other analytical documents (e.g. methods, protocols, reports)
  • Maintain the analytical chemistry laboratory space in compliance with safety regulations
