Associate Software Engineer

Summary

The job description is for an Associate Software Engineer position at Raft, a U.S.-based small business focusing on Distributed Data Systems, Platforms at Scale, and Complex Application Development. The role involves building foundational software skills while contributing to various components of the infrastructure. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, and Python, a Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field, and is able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to conduct work within the continental U.S
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, and Python
• Experience or knowledge in agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, and cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or STEM-related specialty
• Ability to obtain SAFe for Teams certification
• Ability to obtain Security+ certification within first 90 days of employment with Raft
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Responsibilities
