Summary

Join HackerOne as an Associate Solutions Architect and contribute to securing the products of our largest clients. This role involves assisting with the technical delivery and consulting aspects of our customer success team, working closely with enterprise-level customers to plan, launch, and grow successful bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure programs. You will utilize your security knowledge to deliver advisory services, engage with customers, and ensure timely project completion. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person requirements in specified locations. You will collaborate with internal teams and customers to enhance security programs and contribute to product improvements. Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years of application security experience, understand security fundamentals and common vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top Ten)
  • 1+ years of customer-facing or consulting experience (including communicating to non-technical stakeholders to help them understand security topics)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate empathy with multiple audiences
  • You will be an advocate for both hackers and customers and will need to appropriately influence and push back when needed to help both be successful

Responsibilities

  • Utilize security knowledge to deliver Advisory Services effectively to clients
  • Fulfill both internal and external security advisory requests
  • Engage with customers across various skill levels to help them build or enhance their security programs and software development life cycles
  • Conduct interviews to grasp customers' threat models and attack surfaces, ensuring their needs are comprehensively understood
  • Guarantee the timely and satisfactory completion of client projects and engagements, focusing on maximizing the value customers derive from their services
  • Source and identify hackers whose skills align with the services provided, fostering a supportive environment for their participation in projects
  • Provide educational consultations to customers on security challenges, helping them navigate and resolve issues encountered within their programs
  • Oversee the health of customer engagements, optimizing for engagement and vulnerability discovery, while suggesting improvements to keep programs effective and engaging
  • Apply security expertise to recommend enhancements in processes, playbooks, and tools across the Post-Sales Operations team, aiming for scalable improvements
  • Offer insights to the product and engineering teams on potential new features and improvements, and support the Customer Success Managers in serving clients of all sizes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security client engagements, e.g., pentesting, security consulting, vulnerability management, etc
  • Experience with Burp Suite or similar tools
