Associate Staff Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer and be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure on Alibaba Cloud. You will develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, implement Infrastructure as Code, and configure container orchestration platforms. Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, automating tasks, and implementing cloud security best practices. You will collaborate with development teams and maintain comprehensive documentation. On-call rotation is required to support critical production systems. This role requires expertise in Alibaba Cloud services, CI/CD tools, IaC, and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on Alibaba Cloud (ECS, RDS, VPC, SLB, OSS, Function Compute, etc.)
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Alibaba Cloud DevOps
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ROS, or similar tools
• Configure and manage container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes/ACK)
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
• Automate routine operational tasks using scripts (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Implement and maintain cloud security best practices (RAM policies, encryption, security groups, WAF)
• Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth and secure deployment of applications
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure, processes, and configurations
• Participate in on-call rotation to support critical production systems
