Audio Description Narration Script Writer

Summary

The job is for a freelance Malaysian language audio description narration scriptwriter. The candidate will write and/or proofread Malay audio description scripts for film and television content, meet deadlines, ensure quality standards, QC/proofread scripts by other writers, work collaboratively, and participate in occasional meetings. The job is fully remote and offers flexible hours.

Requirements

• Native speaker of Malaysian language
• Minimum of 1 year of Audio Description script writing or AD script QC experience
• Mastery of Malay written grammar and elements of style
• Good English comprehension

Responsibilities

• Write and/or proofread Malay audio description narration scripts for film and television content
• Meet deadlines as determined by DVW Project Manager and communicate any issues that could impact the delivery of the script
• Ensure that AD scripts meet DVW's and client's quality standards
• QC/proofread AD scripts by other writers
• Work with other writers in a collaborative team environment
• Participate in occasional meetings, conference calls as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in media production a plus
