Automation QA Engineer

Summary

Join Emplifi's QA team as a remote/hybrid QA Automation Engineer based in the Czech Republic. You will build, extend, and maintain automated test scripts using Watir and Cypress, contributing to CI/CD pipelines. Your responsibilities include creating automated test cases, recording issues, and collaborating with product owners and developers. This role requires 4+ years of hands-on automation experience, proficiency in writing clean test code, and familiarity with work management and project management frameworks. Requirements

• Experience with Watir (Ruby) and Cypress (JavaScript/TypeScript) testing frameworks
• Have strong scripting skills, a deep understanding of web architecture (DOM, selectors, async behavior)
• Strong debugging skills
• You are competent in both written and spoken English
• 4+ years of hands-on automation experience in a software QA role
• Ability to write test cases and procedures according to approved specifications
• Proficient in writing clean, reusable, and maintainable test code
• You have a minimum of 1 year of experience within a software development environment
• You’re familiar with work management tools (i.e. Jira, TargetProcess, Asana)
• You have experience with project management frameworks (i.e. Agile, Scrum, or Kanban)
• Basic troubleshooting skills
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Build, extend, and maintain automated test scripts using Watir and Cypress within an established automation framework
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into build workflows(.i.e Team City and Circle CI)
• Create automated test cases based on user story specifications
• Record issues into a defect-tracking system
• Actively engage with the Product Owner and Developers to ensure the viability of proposed solutions
