Summary
Join Simulmedia's Engineering team as an experienced Automation QA Engineer in Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software platforms and products by building and implementing automated testing strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues early in the development cycle, ensuring a seamless user experience. This remote position with occasional office meetings requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in automated testing frameworks like Cypress, Selenium Webdriver, and Docker. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in software testing and a passion for staying current with the latest testing trends and technologies. You will work closely with US-based teams and maintain a high bar for quality.
Requirements
- Location in Ukraine is mandatory
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a mix of manual and automation testing
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking
- Strong ability to analyze and identify testing deficits along with the ability to write accurate tests
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve them efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Collaborate with engineers to improve developer experience and processes around testing our software
- 5+ years of professional experience in automated test engineering or a related role
- Strong proficiency in automated testing frameworks including Docker, JS, Cypress, and Selenium Webdriver
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with test automation integration including GitHub Actions
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for staying current with the latest testing trends and technologies
- The desire to take a high level of ownership of the things you work on
- Ability to learn new things quickly, maintain a high bar for quality, and be pragmatic
- Must be able to communicate with U.S based teams
- Ability to work 11 am β 8 pm EEST
Responsibilities
- Build our test automation efforts, designing and implementing automated testing strategies to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues early in the development cycle, ensuring that our products deliver a seamless and exceptional user experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of JS, Typescript, including experience with Cypress testing
- Experience with Gherkin/Cucumber
- Experience with AWS, including its services and infrastructure
