Automation Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary

Join Simulmedia as an Automation QA Engineer (AQA) and contribute to the quality and reliability of our software platforms and products. You will play a key role in building our test automation efforts, designing and implementing automated testing strategies to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues early in the development cycle, ensuring a seamless and exceptional user experience. This position is based in either Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine, with a remote work environment and occasional team meetings in the office.

Requirements

• Location in Ukraine is mandatory
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a mix of manual and automation testing
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking
• Strong ability to analyze and identify testing deficits along with the ability to write accurate tests
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve them efficiently
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• 5+ years of professional experience in automated test engineering or a related role
• Strong proficiency in automated testing frameworks including Docker, JS, Cypress, and Selenium Webdriver
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with test automation integration including GitHub Actions
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for staying current with the latest testing trends and technologies
• The desire to take a high level of ownership of the things you work on
• Ability to learn new things quickly, maintain a high bar for quality, and be pragmatic
• Must be able to communicate with U.S based teams
• Ability to work 11 am — 8 pm EEST

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated testing strategies to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues early in the development cycle, ensuring that our products deliver a seamless and exceptional user experience
• Collaborate with engineers to improve developer experience and processes around testing our software

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of JS, Typescript, including experience with Cypress testing
• Experience with Gherkin/Cucumber
• Experience with AWS, including its services and infrastructure
