Summary
Join Simulmedia's Engineering team as an experienced Automation QA Engineer in Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software platforms and products by building and implementing automated testing strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues early in the development cycle, ensuring a seamless user experience. This role requires strong QA methodologies, automation testing experience, and excellent communication skills. The position is primarily remote with occasional office meetings. You will work closely with US-based teams and maintain a high bar for quality.
Requirements
- Location in Ukraine is mandatory
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a mix of manual and automation testing
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking
- Strong ability to analyze and identify testing deficits along with the ability to write accurate tests
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve them efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Collaborate with engineers to improve developer experience and processes around testing our software
- 5+ years of professional experience in automated test engineering or a related role
- Strong proficiency in automated testing frameworks including Docker, JS, Cypress, and Selenium Webdriver
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with test automation integration including GitHub Actions
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for staying current with the latest testing trends and technologies
- The desire to take a high level of ownership of the things you work on
- Ability to learn new things quickly, maintain a high bar for quality, and be pragmatic
- Must be able to communicate with U.S based teams
- Ability to work 11 am β 8 pm EEST
Responsibilities
- Build our test automation efforts, designing and implementing automated testing strategies to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues early in the development cycle, ensuring that our products deliver a seamless and exceptional user experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of JS, Typescript, including experience with Cypress testing
- Experience with Gherkin/Cucumber
- Experience with AWS, including its services and infrastructure
