Remote AWS Cloud Engineer

Summary

CloudHire is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions for clients remotely. The position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 7 years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer
• Proficient in managing AWS services and infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
• Experience with scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Solid understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Design and architect secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions on the AWS platform
• Implement and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, and Lambda
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, ensuring the efficient operation of cloud infrastructure
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud deployment and maintenance tasks
• Implement and manage security measures to protect cloud environments and data
• Help facilitate our data needs, like building out a data lake and pulling all the resources into that data lake
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in AWS cloud technology

Preferred Qualifications

AWS certifications (such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus
