Aws Cloud Operations Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a highly skilled AWS Cloud Operations Engineer. This fully remote position requires an active Secret clearance or higher. The ideal candidate will possess extensive AWS experience, strong DevOps expertise (Jenkins, GitLab, or Kubernetes), and scripting proficiency (Python, Perl, or BASH). Responsibilities include managing cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, optimizing performance, and ensuring system reliability. This role demands expertise in CI/CD pipelines, IaC tools, and Kubernetes. A competitive salary of $100,000 - $125,000 per year is offered.

Requirements

• Have extensive experience with AWS services
• Have strong DevOps expertise (Jenkins, GitLab, or Kubernetes)
• Have proficiency in scripting with Python, Perl, or BASH
• Have an active Secret clearance or higher

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for cost efficiency
• Enhance security and compliance by managing IAM roles, policies, and encryption best practices
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS) or other orchestration tools
• Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Perl, BASH) to automate operational tasks, system monitoring, and cloud resource management
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and troubleshoot production issues
• Stay up to date with AWS and DevOps trends to enhance system efficiency and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with EKS or other orchestration tools
