Requirements

• Proven experience with AWS MSK/Confluent and Kafka
• Strong expertise in multi-cloud environments, including public and private cloud hosting
• Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and AWS CloudWatch
• Proficiency in containerisation and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes and Docker
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Experience with data replication, data archival, and managing large-scale data pipelines
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and system management
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability and security
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage AWS MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka) and Confluent Kafka environments
• Set up and configure multi-cloud architectures, hosting on both public and private cloud platforms
• Build infrastructure from scratch, focusing on the reliability, availability, and security of cloud-native applications
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Dynatrace and AWS CloudWatch to ensure high availability and performance of services
• Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and automated responses to system health metrics and incidents
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Design and implement scalable and secure container orchestration strategies, including automated scaling, self-healing, and service discovery
• Oversee data replication and archival processes to ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance
• Optimise data workflows and implement strategies for efficient data handling across cloud environments
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, ensuring quick and reliable deployment of applications and services
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices
• Implement best practices for securing infrastructure, including network security, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and data encryption
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to cloud security and data protection
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and security engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions
• Provide support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or other relevant technologies
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines
