AWS Infrastructure Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, proficiency in various AWS services, and a deep understanding of networking concepts. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure design, implementation, and management
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
• Experience with cloud automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS that are secure, scalable, and resilient
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK
• Design and deploy network architecture, including VPCs, subnets, NAT gateways, and VPNs
• Automate cloud infrastructure management tasks such as provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using AWS services like Lambda, Systems Manager, and CloudWatch
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
• Implement and manage AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, security groups, and encryption
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS
• Monitor AWS infrastructure using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and other monitoring tools
• Respond to and resolve incidents, performance issues, and outages in a timely manner
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including backups, snapshots, and multi-region deployments
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of AWS infrastructure
• Document infrastructure designs, configurations, processes, and procedures
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members on AWS best practices
