Summary

Join Methods Analytics (MA) as an Azure/Cloud Data Architect and contribute to improving society through data-driven decision-making. This primarily remote role requires flexibility for travel to client sites and offices in London, Sheffield, and Bristol. You will design and implement secure Azure cloud architectures, manage security technologies, define cloud security strategies, and create technical documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver secure, scalable data solutions. The position demands experience with Azure-native security tools, identity and access management, network security, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Azure-native security tools: Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Azure Firewall, Sentinel, Key Vault
  • Strong understanding of: Identity and access management (e.g., Entra ID/Azure AD, OAuth, SAML, MFA)
  • Network security and segmentation in Azure
  • Infrastructure as code (IaC): Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (required)
  • This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure Azure cloud architectures with a focus on data services and infrastructure
  • Architect and manage security technologies including: Azure Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Purview
  • Azure Key Vault, Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC
  • NSGs, firewalls, private endpoints
  • Define and implement cloud security strategies, policies, and patterns
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks and reference architectures
  • Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) using Azure DevOps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable data solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Entra ID configuration (preferred)
  • Familiarity with SSIS is a plus
