Summary
Join Data Ideology as a Cloud Data Architect to modernize data infrastructure for our clients. You will design and implement data models, lead architecture initiatives, support cloud enablement, and build data pipelines. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver business value, translating complex technical concepts effectively. This role requires 5+ years of experience in data architecture or data modeling, expertise in Azure, Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran, and strong communication skills. The position offers remote work flexibility. The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and strong business acumen.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: 5+ years of experience in data architecture or data modeling roles
- Proven success in designing and implementing semantic data models
- Experience with enterprise asset management or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Infor, or similar platforms)
- Demonstrated experience modernizing data platforms and working with legacy system migrations
- Experience in ambiguous environments with the ability to drive clarity and results
- Technical Knowledge and Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Azure, Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran
- Expertise in cloud data architecture, data warehousing, and pipeline development
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data models for enterprise platforms such as asset management, financial systems, and project accounting tools
- Lead architecture initiatives to modernize legacy systems and decommission outdated data platforms
- Support cloud enablement initiatives and enhance reporting capabilities across the enterprise
- Build and maintain scalable, cloud-based data pipelines and support data ingestion from various enterprise systems
- Integrate with Identity Access Management (IAM) and ensure data security and governance
- Collaborate with business stakeholders including Operations, Customer Service, and Finance to prioritize and deliver business value
- Translate complex technical concepts into simple, business-friendly language for a non-technical audience
Preferred Qualifications
- Utilities or asset-heavy industry experience is preferred
- Experience with data virtualization platforms or IAM integration
- Background in enterprise asset management (EAM) or ERP migrations
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices
