Join Emergent Software's team of Microsoft Cloud Engineers and work on engaging projects for clients in a fully remote position. The role involves planning, architecting, and delivering Microsoft Azure cloud solutions, including pre-sales activities and hands-on implementation. Requirements
- 5+ years' experience architecting and implementing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions
- Consulting experience working in multiple customer environments of varying size and scope
- Hands-on experience architecting and deploying Microsoft Azure environments, including hybrid scenarios, optimizing cost/capacity ratios, proper monitoring, scaling, implementing, and validating DR scenarios, and Azure security
- Experience analyzing, sizing, migrating, and securing Azure VMs and Azure Storage
- Strong grasp of Azure networking technologies and best practices
- Understanding of Microsoft Identity and Access Management products such as Entra ID, Entra Connect, Cloud Kerberos Trust, Conditional Access, SAML
- Experience with PaaS solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure Files, and Azure App Services
- Various aspects of Active Directory, including design, migrations, assessments both on-prem and cloud
- Provide recommendations for cloud migrations, prepare technical implementation roadmaps for Azure adoption, and experience with various Azure migration scenarios
- Work independently and/or in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Seasoned problem solver with ability to get creative to solve customer problems
Responsibilities
- Plan, architect, and deliver Microsoft Cloud solutions leveraging the Microsoft Azure platform
- Engage in pre-sales activities
- Implement Microsoft Azure solutions hands-on
- Understand the business value of implementing cloud solutions
- Communicate solutions to clients through formal presentations, documentation, and expectation management
- Support projects around the country (occasional travel required)

- Degree in computer science field or similar experience
- Experience in any one or more automation languages or tools
- Terraform

- Azure DevOps
- PowerShell
- Relevant Microsoft certifications including: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-500, MS-102, SC-200
