Summary

The job description is for a DevOps Lead Engineer position in a high volume build environment supporting Global Corporate IT Operations. The role requires an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with strong skills in Azure Artefacts and Octopus Deployment tool. The position is fully remote but only available to those currently residing in Serbia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or an equivalent combination of education & experience
  • 5+ years developing and implementing DevOps solutions
  • 2+ years experience with infrastructure management and monitoring
  • 2+ years experience with system automation and deployment
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps Platform tooling including Octopus administration and implementation
  • Experience working with a team following Agile software development lifecycle practices
  • Experience working with various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google)
  • Master of CI/CD/Build pipelines and DevOps concepts
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming (C#, VB .NET, Java, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell, Node, etc.)
  • Understanding of concepts and tooling for containerization and orchestration (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the activities of DevOps in all departments and business units
  • Implement automation of all manual tasks for the building and deployment of code, data, and other assets
  • Enable and be an evangelist of continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) across the organization
  • Automate development and infrastructure processes so that we can seize opportunities without compromising quality
  • Interact with application development teams, product owners, infrastructure architects, and other business stakeholders to review / identify and then implement processes that eliminate or reduce the need for manual intervention
