Back End Developer

Join Vosyn, a leading Language Synthesis AI firm, as a Back End Developer Intern for a 3-month, 520-hour remote internship (with hybrid options in Toronto). This Master's level internship offers an hourly rate of $32 and the chance to contribute to a fast-growing company on the verge of an IPO. You will work closely with the engineering team, developing and maintaining server-side logic and databases. Requirements

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Master’s program enrollment or completion is mandatory
• Strong understanding of backend languages and frameworks such as Python, Django, Django Rest Framework (DRF), Flask, and FastAPI
• Experience with database management and design (PostgreSQL, SQL, NoSQL)
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development
• Knowledge of security best practices in backend development
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side components and APIs using Python and frameworks such as Django, Django Rest Framework (DRF), Flask, and FastAPI
• Work with databases including PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL to design, optimize, and maintain data storage solutions
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Ensure the security and performance of web applications
• Utilize Postman for API testing and debugging
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions on best practices
• Stay informed about the latest backend development trends and technologies
