Remote Backend Developer (Rust)

Join the Item Management team at 1Password as a Backend Developer to help people get more out of 1Password by efficiently creating, organizing, and finding important information. The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of professional experience in software development, proficiency in Rust, and experience working with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in software development
• Proficiency with the Rust programming language
• Experience in product engineering and working with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Define and execute development plans for specific features or initiatives
• Write code and implement features, bug fixes, with a focus on delighting our customers and maintainability
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and/or stakeholders throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases
• Help support the work of your peers through pair programming and code reviews
• Participate in planning by identifying major tasks and breaking down, estimating, and planning work
• Take responsibility for the overall quality of your team’s projects by overseeing testing infrastructure, strategies, and technologies to ensure high quality work and prevent regressions
