Backend Engineer

Summary

Join 66degrees, a leading Google Cloud Premier Partner, as a senior contractor for a 2-month remote assignment (45 hours/week). This role requires 5+ years of hands-on Golang experience, cloud experience (GCP preferred), and expertise in migrations, BigTable, ScyllaDB, and Kafka. You will need to be available to start in the first week of May and work UK hours with US time overlap. The contract has the potential to extend beyond the initial two months.

Requirements

• Work UK Hours (morning overlap with US time), 45 hours a week for a 2 months of contract without disruption
• Have 5 years of recent and hands-on Golang experience
• Have Cloud experience (GCP/ AWS/ Azure)
• Have Experience in migrations and working with BigTable
• Have Experience with database- ScyllaDB
• Have Kafka experience
• Have Proven ability to Test, validate and review the solution
• Have Experience working in a highly automated agile environment where changes are pushed
• Be Familiar with the scrum process and Git
• Have Strong communication skills
