Remote Back-End Engineer

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of professional programming experience implementing scalable and secure software systems with Nest.JS, and other back-end technologies like C#, Java and Node.JS
• Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and React for full-stack development
• Proven experience implementing secure, efficient backend systems and APIs
• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks and development best practices to ensure code quality and reliability
• Solid foundation in web technologies, backend design patterns, and both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless technologies
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies
• Understanding of secure coding practices and common security vulnerabilities in backend systems (e.g. OWASP Top 10)
• Experience working with Agile Teams following best practices

Responsibilities

• Implement robust, test-driven backend solutions using Nest.JS, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance
• Develop and maintain APIs, to facilitate integration and enhance system interoperability
• Create comprehensive documentation, adhering to best practices in development workflows to streamline project execution
• Leverage your expertise to actively participate in technical discussions and decision-making processes
• Contribute to innovation by proposing cutting-edge solutions to improve the project’s solution and address client needs
• Coach junior engineers, providing guidance on technical skills development and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with DevOps (AWS, GCP) etc
• Experience with cloud and serverless technologies for scalable solutions
• Background in e-commerce platform development
• Advanced skills in CI/CD, Git, and automated testing
