Backend Engineer

Summary

You'll be working with Java, contributing to code reviews, and collaborating effectively within a team. Requirements

• Have experience writing production code in Java with disciplined coding practices, and experience with code reviews and pull requests
• Model best practices to your peers
• Have strong communication and team collaboration skills, both written and verbal
• A Canva engineer strives to understand the exact problem before jumping into writing code

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand multi-team administrative requirements and design scalable solutions
• Deliver great user experience to administrators by ideating and confirming tech feasibility of solution to manage large-scale enterprises
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the team’s domain as and when they arise, and be part of the team’s rostered on-call rotation
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to innovate and improve the domain owned by the team

Preferred Qualifications

Have commercial experience with AWS services like DynamoDB, and SNS/SQS
