Backend Engineer

Summary

Join CoinTracker's close-knit, early-stage distributed team and tackle exciting technical challenges, creating transformative crypto products. As part of the newly formed Integration Growth Team, you will own and deliver new integrations (blockchains & exchanges), scale integrations coverage, and troubleshoot critical integration issues. You will collaborate with engineering, customer experience, and product teams, and participate in hiring efforts. We are seeking senior backend software engineers with 8+ years of experience, strong CS fundamentals, high-quality code writing skills, and a value for software testing and best engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have strong Python knowledge and experience working with third-party APIs. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

Requirements

• We are hiring senior backend software engineers with 8+ years of experience to help build and scale our new Integrations Growth team
• Have strong CS and system design fundamentals, write high-quality code, value software testing, and uphold best practices in engineering
• Able to work effectively in a remote setting and able to overlap with our core hours of 9 AM to 12 PM Pacific Timezone

Responsibilities

• You’ll own and deliver new Integrations (blockchains & exchanges) by using our existing Integrations platform system to scale our Integrations coverage and assist in troubleshooting critical Integrations related issues
• Collaborate with engineering, customer experience & product teams within Cointracker
• Participate in hiring efforts to help scale the Integration Growth Team

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Python knowledge & working with third party API’s is preferred
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP & cloud fundamentals is preferred
• Drawn to an early-stage, high-growth startup environment
• Ability to read blockchain data / understanding of web3 strongly preferred
• Background in data engineering domain and closely working with customer support team is a plus
