Backend Engineer

Summary

Join Deel's Infra Engineering team and contribute to building a platform that empowers product teams to deliver business value faster. As a key member, you will work on the edge between DevOps and engineering, enforcing standards and best practices, creating tooling, and maintaining internal libraries. You'll be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from discovery to deployment, collaborating with multiple teams. The role requires 5+ years of engineering experience, strong Node.js knowledge, and expertise in cloud technologies like AWS and Kubernetes. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in engineering
• Strong node.js knowledge
• AWS or similar cloud experience
• Kubernetes, Helm and Docker knowledge
• Experience with Postgres/Mysql, RabbitMq/Nats/Kafka
• Strong system design and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• You are hands-on troubleshooter
• You are ready for challenges

• Ensure our customers receive a white-glove experience with our products!
• Enforce standards and best practices
• Create tooling
• Maintain internal libraries
• Provide architectural guidance
• Own some high-loaded core services
• Respond to production incidents when needed

Preferred Qualifications

Have experience building internal tooling: npm packages, frameworks
