Backend Engineer

Summary

Join RYZ Labs as a Back End Engineer and build consumer applications on the AWS stack using the latest technologies. You will be responsible for technical problem-solving, meeting product objectives, and developing best practices. This remote position is open to Latam-based professionals only. Requirements

• Have 4+ years of professional non-internship programming experience with at least one modern language such as Node.js, Java, Scala, Kotlin, Ruby on Rails, Groovy, Go, C/C++, Rust, Python or C# including object-oriented design
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience)
• Have professional experience in software design and implementation
• Have experience with building dynamic web applications and the APIs that power them
• Have experience working with GraphQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate highly complex and ambiguous situations
• Have the ability to work independently with little supervision and successfully resolve ambiguity
• Be willing to learn, be open-minded to new ideas and different opinions yet knowing when to stop, analyze, and reach a decision
• Have well-rounded engineering skills; full-stack development experience - web + services
• Have experience with architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling of new systems
• Possess strong data-oriented skills with knowledge of Core Data and data structures
• Have prior use of AWS technologies at scale in a production environment
