Backend Engineer

Summary

Requirements

• Develop production-level microservices in Python
• Have experience with building high-load and large-scale systems in Python
• Have previous experience in handling the whole development cycle all the way to production
• Tackle big challenges together, envision scalability and availability, and dare to question conventional decisions
• Quickly grasp new concepts and thrive in an environment of continuous learning
• Collaborate well with others and have a good connection with team members

Responsibilities

• Develop production-level backend services in Python
• Handle the whole development process (business logic, testing, database & data streaming, CI/CD, analytics, cloud) in an autonomous manner
• Build things that are accessible and made to scale
• Keep our systems in the best shape by simplifying the unnecessary complexity
• Make decisions as a team and group of teams for our ways of working and take architectural decisions together
• Choose the best technologies that work for Wolt, their teams and themselves

Preferred Qualifications

Have experience in domains such search and discovery or payments
