Backend Engineer Intern

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Solid understanding of CS fundamentals, such as algorithms, data structures, network, operating system, database, security, etc
• Good understanding of web backend development concepts, such as API endpoint, microservice, etc
• Proficient with at least one programming language. Golang is preferred but not required
• Passionate about new technologies and always willing to learn
• A strong team player, and able to communicate well in our multinational & cross-functional team

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and maintenance of our global payment systems, delivering a superb cross-platform checkout experience for users worldwide
• Participate in the development and maintenance of our internal finance / accounting software, providing a full-lifecycle solution for our funds flow
• Collaborate with fellow engineers, product managers and business / operation teams, to ensure the timely delivery of multiple large-scale projects
• Ensure the quality of software delivery through various methods, including unit tests, integration tests and stress tests
• Follow best practices in software development lifecycle, such as CI/CD pipeline, data quality checks, grayscale deployment, multi-cluster environment
