Backend Services Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Backend Engineer at Akuity, a fast-growing company that supports the Argo project. The role involves building and improving Akuity's SaaS platform, collaborating with designers and engineers, and mentoring team members. The candidate should have experience in Golang, Kubernetes controllers or operators, and scalable web application development.

Requirements

• Live in North America
• 5+ years experience is preferred
• 1+ years of experience working with Golang
• Experience building Kubernetes controllers or operators at scale in AWS, GCP, Azure, or On-prem
• A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset with a passion for developer experience
• A passion for working on complex technical products, particularly in the realm of SaaS, IaaS, PaaS
• Experience developing scalable web applications using programming languages like Go, C/C++, Java, and Python
• Deep knowledge of systems design, API design, and infrastructure
• A genuine interest in designing a great end-to-end developer experience while using Akuity’s products
