Backend Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Backend Software Engineer at Dealfront, a remote-first international SaaS company. The role involves building APIs, background data processing flows, and integrations using Ruby and other technologies, with opportunities to work on the frontend or learn infrastructure, DevOps, and serverless development.

Requirements

• Experience in building scalable Serverless systems using AWS technologies such as Lambda, Kinesis or API Gateway
• Understanding how to model and build applications using microservices architecture patterns
• Strong software architecture & data modelling skills

Responsibilities

Build APIs, background data processing flows, and integrations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and gRPC is even better
• Experience in DevOps and Infrastructure, especially in AWS, Terraform, Docker or Kubernetes
• Ability to help and improve the work of your colleagues through your teamwork and communication skills
• Experience managing, monitoring and troubleshooting production grade web applications
