BackEnd Software Engineer in Greece

Summary

Requirements

• Proven hands-on Software Development experience in Java (version 8+)
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot ecosystem (Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Data etc)
• SQL
• Experience with both external and embedded databases (relational), as well as with cache engines (EHCache, Redis)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with Maven
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries
• Knack for writing clean, readable Java code
• Knack for documenting analysis and source code
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, ORM and RESTful
• Basic understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
• Implementing unit tests
• Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication (also in English)
• Linux (CentOS, RedHat)

Design improvements that make our back-end infrastructure scalable and cover our customers’ needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Software Development experience in Python (version 3.8+ )
• Knowledge of a major Python framework (Django, Flask etc)
• NoSQL databases (Cassandra, etc)
• Time Series Databases
• Cloud working experience
• Docker containers
• Microservice architecture
• Experience in working with Atlassian platform (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
• Message Brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
