Backend/Data Engineer

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or Data Engineer
• Proficiency in Node.js and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Airbyte, building and maintaining connectors
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data normalization, and workflow orchestration
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and scalable backend systems
• Experience integrating enterprise systems like Salesforce, Jira, Notion, etc
• Knowledge of access control models such as ACL or RBAC

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Airbyte (self-hosted or Cloud)
• Build reliable and scalable ETL processes and data workflows
• Work closely with engineering and data teams to integrate data from systems such as Salesforce, Jira, and Notion
• Implement and maintain access control models (ACL, RBAC) to ensure data security
• Design APIs and support microservices-based architecture for data integration
• Optimize SQL queries and support backend services written in Node.js

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other data integration tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, or Apache Airflow)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Background in data governance or real-time data streaming solutions
