Summary
Join 20four7VA as a Bilingual Legal Assistant, supporting a New York-based law firm specializing in workers' compensation. This is a remote, full-time (40 hours/week) position requiring fluency in English and Spanish. You will provide client support, manage case documentation, and coordinate with legal staff. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Prior legal or customer service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for necessary software.
Requirements
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced legal environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a client-first approach
- Ability to work independently and remain focused in a remote setting
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal software (training provided)
Responsibilities
- Provide client support via phone and email, addressing inquiries regarding case progression, medical treatment, income benefits, and upcoming court hearings
- Assist in processing case-related documentation based on client interactions
- Maintain organization and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote work environment
- Utilize legal case management software to update and track case progress
- Coordinate with attorneys and other legal staff to ensure seamless case handling
- Demonstrate empathy and professionalism while assisting injured workers and clients in distress
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service or administrative support is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of legal case management software such as Smart Advocate and Case Status (training provided if necessary)
- Experience in a legal or client service role is a plus
