Bilingual Medical Assistant

Summary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Administration, Communications, or a related field
• Experience working in a healthcare setting or medical office environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Fluent in Spanish and English

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient exams and procedures
• Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries
• Communicate with patients to collect medical history, relay instructions, and provide follow-up care information
• Use medical terminology knowledge to accurately convey information and address patient inquiries
• Assist patients with appointment reminders, medication refills, and other administrative tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare practices and procedures
• Familiarity or working experience as a nurse
