Biostatistician

Summary

Join our client, a boutique HEOR consulting firm, as a Senior Biostatistician and utilize real-world data to conduct health care economic analyses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics and proficiency in statistical programming using SAS and/or R.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in biostatistics within the HEOR or pharmaceutical industry, or a relevant industry
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages including SAS and R; experience with other programming tools (e.g., Python, Stata) is a plus
• Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and their applications in health economics and outcomes research
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively
• Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial spirited and an openness to out of the box creative problem solving

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement HEOR studies
• Conduct statistical analyses to derive insights from complex healthcare databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance to client objectives
• Develop and validate statistical analysis plans to assess treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and patient outcomes
• Write statistical code and collaborate with other biostatisticians across projects for code and results auditing
• Communicate findings through comprehensive reports and presentations, translating complex statistical concepts into actionable recommendations for clients
• Mentor and train junior staff on statistical methods and programming best practices
