Summary

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a remote work setting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Accurately record and manage daily financial transactions in QuickBooks and related systems
  • Maintain updated and organized financial records, adhering to company guidelines
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts regularly
  • Generate and submit financial reports for management review, including income statements and balance sheets
  • Ensure timely processing of vendor payments and invoices
  • Collaborate with external accountants to assist with tax compliance and reporting
  • Monitor expenditures, identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and provide insights to support budgetary goals
  • Maintain secure and organized financial records to ensure readiness for audits and compliance requirements
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Stay current with updates in bookkeeping best practices and tools
  • Able to create or restructure the finance process if needed
  • Use HubSpot to collaborate with team members and manage relevant financial workflows
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Bill.com, Tallie, Biller Genie, and HubSpot
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
