Summary

Join Sign Solutions, a leading provider of services for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals, as a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter. This role involves both face-to-face and video interpreting assignments across Bristol and surrounding areas, working with diverse clients in the public and private sectors. You will deliver high-quality BSL/English interpreting services, report to the Head Interpreter and Managing Director, and maintain continuous professional development (CPD). The position requires NRCPD registration and an enhanced DBS check, with additional requirements depending on the specific interpreting type. Requirements

  • NRCPD registration TSLI/RSLI / RBSLI registration
  • Enhanced DBS
  • A full driving licence is essential

Responsibilities

  • Undertake face to face interpreting assignments
  • Undertake video interpreting assignments
  • Deliver high quality BSL/English interpreting services to all clients
  • Report to Head Interpreter and Managing Director
  • Maintain CPD
  • Abide by NRCPD code of conduct
  • Work well within the interpreting team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare sector interpreting experience
  • RSLI status and 3 years post qualification experience (Video Interpreting requirement only)
