Broadband Project Coordinator

Summary

The Broadband Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the financial and administrative aspects of broadband projects, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role involves processing reimbursement requests, maintaining grants compliance, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• At least two years of federal financial support, grants management experience, or government accounting experience
• Knowledge of broadband programs and familiarity with 2 CFR 200, especially cost-sharing and matching requirements
• Experience in financial roles within federal, state, or local government environments

Responsibilities

• Process and validate reimbursement documentation submitted by subrecipients
• Conduct a two-tier quality assurance and control (QA/QC) review before finalizing submissions
• Coordinate with finance and program teams to verify expenditures align with project budgets and compliance requirements
• Prepare, review, and maintain detailed records, spreadsheets, and reports related to reimbursement requests
• Analyze and validate costs against established benchmarks to promote the efficient use of resources in deploying broadband infrastructure
• Ensure all project activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including 2 CFR 200
• Assist in developing and maintaining compliance documentation, policies, and procedures
• Monitor grant expenditures, financial reports, and performance reports to ensure proper use of funds
• Document processes for internal and external audiences and develop or update procedures for grant administration
• Facilitate communication between internal teams, subrecipients, and other stakeholders to align on project goals and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate’s Degree in public administration, telecommunications, government accounting, business administration, or a related field
