Summary

Trailer Park Group is seeking an experienced Business Affairs Manager for their Business Affairs team. The role involves reviewing client and vendor production agreements, negotiating talent compensation, working with insurance brokers on analysis of insurance needs, advising internal teams on union rules, regulations, and best practices, and more. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Live Action Commercial Production/Talent Management/Business Affairs.

Requirements

  • Experience with Extreme Reach required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality well important
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Live Action Commercial Production/Talent Management/Business Affairs needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage stressful situations with a good sense of humor
  • Ability to review and negotiate agreements from simple to complex
  • Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a team-based environment
  • Capacity to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Experience in traditional media, social, and digital distribution channels
  • Experience in drafting releases, licenses, contracts, and amendments
  • Proficiency in Mac Systems, Google, and Microsoft Office including TEAMS and SharePoint, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Analytical and observational skills to provide quick and common-sense recommendations
  • Bachelors Degree required

Responsibilities

  • Review client and vendor production agreements
  • Negotiate and draft on-camera and off-camera union and non-union talent compensation, usage, and renewal terms
  • Participate in project scoping discussions, providing estimates using Extreme Reach platform for session fees, usage, residuals, and all other talent related costs of production
  • Review and assess storyboards/scripts, rough cuts, and final creative for legal or clearance concerns
  • Create session reports, review holding fee notifications and issue talent advices for usage and TORs, in compliance with SAG-AFTRA
  • Review talent invoices and reconcile with purchase orders and process payments
  • Work with Insurance Broker on analysis of insurance needs and managing COIs etc
  • Advise internal team on union rules, regulations, and best practices
  • Work closely with company’s finance division

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with business affairs in live production environments helpful
