Business Analyst Consultant IV

Summary

Join our team as a Business Analyst Consultant IV and contribute to public safety by implementing, maintaining, and configuring projects related to the client’s Health and Behavior Solutions team. This fully remote position (except for onboarding) involves working with the EHR core team, optimizing workflows within the Oracle Cerner EHR platform, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve business processes. You will execute builds and tests, generate reports using Discern analytics and SAP Business Objects, and handle upgrades in various workflows. The position requires extensive experience with EMR systems, SAP Business Objects, and software configuration, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. The contract is initially for 40 hours per week until June 30, 2025, with potential for renewal.

Requirements

• Be legally entitled to work in the United States
• Possess existing knowledge of SAP Business Objects Solutions
• Have experience maintaining and vendor-managed software, performing maintenance, testing, upgrades, and configurations
• Have experience communicating software configuration with external and internal stakeholders
• Have experience working with external stakeholders to identify process improvements and optimizations
• Have experience engaging with users to troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues
• Possess existing knowledge of EHR / EMR Systems
• Have 5 years of experience implementing, supporting, and/or configuring EMR/software

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and configure projects related to the support of the client’s Health and Behavior Solutions team
• Serve as a member of the EHR core team
• Work closely with the working group to help identify areas of optimization and improved business processes for workflows within EHR
• Execute the build and test required for effective EHR optimizations
• Generate reports using Discern analytics and SAP Business Objects (BO)
• Handle upgrades in Provider, Nursing and Pharmacy workflow, Dentrix and Dragon Medical One, etc
• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs for client’s application software
• Formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience in an Agile environment and System Development Life Cycle
• Have experience with test script maintenance and test automation
• Have experience working in a government or correctional environment
• Have experience with change management systems
• Have knowledge of vendor-based application release cycle and ticket management
• Have good business process mapping and process capture through Visio flow diagrams
• Have the ability to identify integration points
• Have knowledge of reporting and dashboard maintenance
• Have experience in process improvements and I.T. systems integration
• Have the ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Have the ability to work with business teams and good communication and presentation skills
• Have experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), running regression tests on systems, and identifying, designing, and optimizing new and existing test cases
• Have JIRA tool experience
• Have experience with SQL and PL SQL
• Follow Good Documentation Practice
• Have familiarity with clinical needs in the Corrections environment
• Have experience with the Cerner Electronic Medical Record
