Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning Specialist

Summary

We are seeking a Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (DR/BC) Specialist to design, develop, and maintain effective DR/BC plans. The candidate should have a strong understanding of business operations, IT systems, and risk management principles.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of DR/BC concepts and methodologies
• Proven experience in developing and implementing DR/BC plans
• Proficiency in risk assessment and business impact analysis
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive DR/BC plans, including business impact assessments, recovery strategies, and procedures
• Coordinate and facilitate DR/BC exercises and testing to validate the effectiveness of recovery plans
• Assist in the ongoing lifecycle management of DR/BC plans, ensuring they remain current and aligned with business objectives
• Collaborate with IT and business units to identify potential risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on all DR/BC activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in DR/BC (e.g., CBCP, MBCI)
• Experience with IT disaster recovery technologies and tools
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
