Remote DevOps Engineer

Requirements

• Kubernetes Expertise: Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters and workloads (AWS EKS preferred) using configuration as code
• AWS Infrastructure: Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools (Plumi preferred)
• Events-Based Architecture: Experience working, managing and monitoring platforms based on events architecture (messaging with SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Kafka, RabbitMQ are a plus)
• CI/CD Solutions: Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery systems (Github Actions preferred)
• Docker: Proficiency in building and maintaining Docker images
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in a high-level programming/scripting language (Python and TypeScript preferred)
• Serverless Experience: knowledge of managing and working with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, Serverless Framework, CloudFunctions are a plus)
• Vercel Experience: Experience working with Vercel Data
• Pipelines: Familiarity with data pipeline infrastructure such as Airflow
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with Datadog is a plus.Team

Responsibilities

• Build and Expand Infrastructure: Enhance AWS infrastructure to support our rapidly growing user base and engineering team
• Automate and Simplify: Identify repetitive tasks and develop tools to automate them. Simplify complex and error-prone processes with efficient solutions
• Ensure Security and Compliance: Develop tools and policies that provide engineers with necessary access while maintaining security and compliance
• Research and Implement Tools: Evaluate, recommend, and integrate new infrastructure and tools to support new product features
• Monitor and Alert: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and actionable alerting to maintain high operational standards
• Proactively manage and optimize cloud resources to control costs and maximize efficiency. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system alerts in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures
