Summary
Join Whatnot, the leading livestream shopping platform, and become a Recruiter managing end-to-end recruiting for Operations/Business teams. You will own the full-cycle recruiting process, identify talented candidates through diverse methods, screen applicants, and assist in developing job posts and hiring plans. You'll iterate on candidate feedback, nurture relationships, and champion diversity and inclusion. This role requires proven experience recruiting for business roles, leadership skills, a commitment to diversity hiring, and a data-focused approach. Requirements
- You have proven experience recruiting for Business roles. Your roots are in identifying and evaluating candidates for a variety of operations/business roles, and you enjoy the challenge of finding (and helping your team to find) outstanding talent for hard-to-fill positions from mid-level to Director-level roles
- You are a leader and a builder at heart. You bring 5+ years of recruiting experience and get energy from building foundational processes and principles. You set strategy, you lean in and get into the weeds and you inspire your team to do their best work
- You are a champion for diversity hiring & inclusive interview practices. At Whatnot, we believe hiring and fostering a diverse team is the key to building a successful business. You should be passionate about these initiatives and have experience creating a strategy for building diverse teams
- You are comfortable with ownership. Whatnot is one of the fastest-growing startups in history, and hiring is critical to our success. You should feel comfortable moving uncomfortably fast and being responsible for your work
- You provide an incredible candidate experience. You sweat the small stuff but keep the big picture in mind. You know that a job search can be an overwhelming and complicated journey for candidates, so you prioritize providing a more human experience for everyone that interacts with Whatnot during a hiring process
- You are data-focused. You track pipeline health to balance your priorities and set hiring manager expectations
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting process for various Operations roles at Whatnot
- Identify talented candidates. You'll partner with recruiting managers, recruiters and hiring managers to identify a high caliber of candidates and reach out efficiently to potential candidates
- Emphasize diversity and inclusivity. You'll look for traditional and non-traditional methods to increase the likelihood we can bring new perspectives to the team
- Screen candidates. You'll serve as the filter of the top of the funnel to maximize the hiring teamβs time and focus on interviewing the best candidates
- Assist with developing job posts, hiring plans, and rubrics when needed. You'll work with the Recruiting Manager, Business and hiring manager to tighten up job descriptions, screening rubrics, and manage the hiring process along the way
- Iterate on candidate feedback. You'll smooth rough edges in the hiring process by iterating on feedback from candidates or other signals
- Nurture relationships with individuals and groups. You'll help build personal relationships through introductions, references, or by facilitating participation with community groups
