Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelorโ€™s or masterโ€™s degree program in English, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field
  • Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong business writing proficiency
  • Interest in defense contracting, national security, or aerospace industries
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to create basic flowchart and organizational chart graphics a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Responsibilities

  • Complete research on assigned topics
  • Fact-check data collected during the research process
  • Create readable, easy-to-understand content tailored to a defined audience
  • Use style guides to develop and proofread content for assignments
  • Combine existing content and boilerplate with current Subject Matter Expert (SME) input to develop new material
  • Apply desk top publishing (DTP) skills to ensure documents meet company branding and industry quality standards. Proofread and format documents; define acronyms
  • Support Proposal Operations library initiative
  • Coordinate the collection and accumulation of proposal documentation and data
  • Research and analyze historical data, as directed
  • Create reports, flag inconsistent information and follow up with stakeholders for updates
  • Assist Proposal Managers with the logistics of the proposal process
  • Support kickoff, color reviews, and other meetings as directed
  • Maintain the Proposal Operations schedule, calendar updates, meeting invitations, minutes, and reporting requirements as directed
