The ideal candidate possesses a degree in a related Bioscience discipline with relevant experience in cell-based assays and data analysis. Requirements

  • A degree in Pharmacology, Biology or a related Bioscience discipline with either 2+ yearsโ€™ experience for a BS degree, or 1+ yearsโ€™ experience for an MS degree, preferably in a drug discovery setting
  • Experience and understanding of cell-based assay techniques for screening and/or assessment of pharmacological endpoints
  • Hands-on laboratory research experience including assay execution for plate-based assays
  • Solid data analysis and problem-solving skills with familiarity with standard scientific data analysis software
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Software: MS office suite, ELN (Electronic lab-notebook)

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and support cell-based assays across diverse endpoint technologies
  • Utilize semi-automated liquid handling and other laboratory instrumentation as needed
  • Support specialized and routine cell culture techniques
  • Perform data analysis and documentation of experimental findings and assay protocols
  • Comply with all organizational laboratory safety requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with medium & high-throughput screening formats, screening technologies, and laboratory automation
  • Hands-on experience working with primary or stem cell-derived cells
  • Operation of liquid handling platforms (Agilent, Hamilton, and/or Biomek), ECHO acoustic liquid handling instruments, and various multilabel plate readers
