Summary
Join our team as a Cell Site Technician! This 100% remote role, based in Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia, involves overnight travel to customer sites across the Central region (Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania). You will be responsible for installing and maintaining power equipment, working with various tools and materials, and adhering to safety guidelines. A company car is provided for travel. The position requires experience in power equipment installation, cable work, and strong communication skills. Periodic travel outside the region may be required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Three years of experience in power equipment installation
- Two years of experience in pulling & sewing cable, construction of cable racking, bay mounting
- Valid driver's license
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
- Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time
- Ability and willingness to work varying shifts (swing shifts)
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
- Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
- Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs
- Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft
- Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
- Continuous standing
- Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
- Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
- Frequently crouching or squatting
- Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold
Responsibilities
- On-time completion and quality of the installation project
- Support job package administration including weekly tool inventory, write and submit the MOP, JIM preparation and submittal, create timesheet for self and crew, safety adherence, and house cleaning
- Responsible for inventory and staging of equipment and materials, weekly status report to supervisor, reading and interpreting specifications and drawings
- Add or remove all wiring and connections on non-working DC power equipment and assisting Level IV Technician on working equipment
- Assist Level IV Technician on lead verification (voltage)
- Add or remove telecom batteries
- Add or remove common systems equipment hardware
- Follow all EHS guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong customer service mindset
- Prior field engineering experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- AC Electrical Experience
