Summary
Join Atlas, a rapidly growing fintech company, as a Chargeback & Recovery Specialist. You will manage and optimize chargeback and collections processes, handling cardholder disputes, working with merchants, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. You will investigate disputed transactions, gather documentation, and identify chargeback trends to recommend dispute reduction strategies. The position also involves supporting debt collection efforts and working with collection agencies. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in chargeback processing and dispute resolution, preferably in financial services or fintech
- Strong understanding of Visa’s dispute guidelines and issuer-side chargeback regulations (Reg E, Reg Z)
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes efficiently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with financial systems, databases, and tools (Excel, Word, internet-based platforms)
Responsibilities
- Review and process chargeback disputes, ensuring compliance with Visa regulations (e.g., Visa Resolve Online)
- Investigate disputed transactions, gather supporting documentation, and file disputes on behalf of cardholders
- Track and manage disputes from initiation to resolution, providing timely updates
- Identify chargeback trends and recommend strategies to reduce disputes
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., Reg E, Reg Z)
- Provide reports and insights to improve internal risk management
- Support efforts to recover outstanding balances and minimize losses
- Work with collection agencies to optimize recovery strategies
- Monitor overdue accounts and assist in securing payments when necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with credit card issuers or collections in fintech or financial services
- Familiarity with SQL, Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI for data analysis
