Summary

Join Third Eye Software as a mid-senior level DevOps Engineer to contribute to a significant CI pipeline migration project. This fully remote, W-2 contract position (6-7 months, potential for extension) involves migrating application repositories from legacy CI tools to GitHub Actions. You will translate existing pipelines, debug build issues, and collaborate with developers. The role requires strong debugging skills and experience with various CI/CD tools, build tooling, scripting languages, and containerization. Compensation is $50-55/hour. The position demands full-time dedication and adherence to Eastern Standard Time business hours. A remote on-camera policy is in effect during the initial engagement phase.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in DevOps / Infrastructure
  • Hands-on expertise in CI/CD tools: Concourse, TeamCity, Jenkins (experience with at least one)
  • Hands-on expertise in GitHub Actions
  • Hands-on expertise in Build tooling: Maven, Gradle, and related build scripts
  • Hands-on expertise in Scripting: Bash, JavaScript, Groovy, and YAML
  • Hands-on expertise in GitHub and Git-based workflows
  • Hands-on expertise in Docker and general containerization knowledge
  • Strong debugging skills, especially around build failures and pipeline migrations
  • Experience deploying applications from code to production (build, scan, containerize, deploy)

Responsibilities

  • Support a major CI pipeline migration effort
  • Move application repos off legacy CI tools and onto GitHub Actions paved road pipelines
  • Translate existing pipelines using internal guides
  • Debug build issues
  • Collaborate with developers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with working in large codebases with complex dependencies
  • Previous work in regulated environments (e.g., handling PCI/PII compliance)
  • You’re a proactive problem solver who can investigate unfamiliar code and pipelines
  • You work well independently and know when to ask questions
  • You’re detail-oriented and can follow (and improve on) established migration guides
