Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar applicable work experience
• Some prior experience (including academic and internship experience) designing and drafting utilizing AutoCAD and/or Civil3D
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be both creative and analytical
• Detail-oriented and accurate
• Efficient time management – handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines

Responsibilities

• Create site layouts and civil land development design sheet sets in AutoCAD/Civil 3D for utility and commercial-scale renewable energy projects
• Perform design tasks on small projects or portions of larger projects
• Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment
• Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes
• Work under the direction of more senior staff
• Receive close supervision on all aspects of assignments
• Receive a thorough review of completed work for application of sound professional judgment
• Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines
• Perform additional duties as assigned or directed

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT Certificate
• Knowledge of GIS software tools
• Prior renewable energy project experience
