Summary

The job is for a Civil Engineer with Bentley Geopak experience to work on utility projects for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The role involves designing engineering plans, ensuring compliance with codes, managing project timelines and budgets, providing technical advice, and resolving issues during construction.

Requirements

• Engineering degree with 6 to 10 years of experience or an experienced CAD drafter with 10 plus years of experience
• MicroStation Geopak experience (Mandatory)
• Experience with NCDOT roadway & profiles
• Experience with Utility Design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities with an ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design and develop detailed engineering plans for Utility projects: water line, sewer line and other dry utility coordination (fiber optic, electric, phone, etc.)
• Ensure that projects adhere to local and national building codes and regulations (North Carolina)
• Work with contractors to manage project timelines and budgets
• Provide technical advice and resolve any issues that arise during construction projects
