Summary

Join Lime, the world's largest shared electric vehicle company, in hiring a Claims Associate to join our Claims team! You will report to the Claims Manager and have expertise in analyzing BI/PD claims as well as a strong liability background.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years of relevant experience
  • A proven track record in property & casualty claims handling
  • Deep understanding of the US market and international exposure
  • Knowledge of property damage, physical injuries, medical terminology, treatment protocols, and wage loss claims process
  • Experience working with third-party administrators and internal and external legal teams in a high-volume, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work across several time zones, with proficiency in English
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of precisely managing multiple claims and meeting tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and property damage claims involving Lime vehicles to ensure prompt and fair resolutions
  • Deliver empathetic and efficient communication to claimants, guiding them through the process with clear information on procedures, documentation, and status updates via email and phone
  • Leverage our claims management system for tracking, resolving claims, and using data analytics to inform decisions, ensuring accuracy and comprehensive records
  • Assess claim validity and liability, authorize appropriate compensation or denial in alignment with company policies and legal guidelines, and negotiate settlements when necessary
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce claims frequency and severity
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Trust & Safety, Legal, Analytics, etc.) and external partners (Insurers, TPAs) to streamline the claims process and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Determine reimbursement of medical, wage loss, and other benefits, which may include negotiating a settlement of injury claims
